- Description
- 1. I cannot think of a more exciting or critically important time for the space and cyberspace mission areas, and I could not be prouder to lead Air Force Space Command. As the new Air Force Space Command Commander, I intend to build upon our efforts to increase interaction and communication with industry. Simply put, I view you as a critical partner. How we collectively respond as a Nation to the emerging challenges in air, space and cyberspace will continue to shape our ability to protect our vital national interests well into the future. Your innovation and commitment to delivering cutting edge, resilient capabilities within tight fiscal constraints will enable Air Force Space Command to equip our warfighters to meet these multi-faceted challenges. 2. I look forward to meeting you and working together toward a future that continues to support American freedom of action in space and cyberspace. My top two priorities are winning today's fight while preparing for tomorrow's challenges. Both of these hinge upon strong engagement with industry. 3. My plan is to use multiple avenues to engage with you and your teams. First, we will continue and expand individual meeting opportunities for interested contractor representatives with me, my senior leadership team and our subject matter experts. We will expand AFSPC personnel participation as speakers, panel members and attendees at large scale, professional conferences and seminars that are open to the public. We also plan to grow AFSPC hosted Industry Day events where we can share information regarding our current and future requirements with you and solicit your input. Finally, I encourage your use of our Industry Engagement Portal located at http://www.afspc.af.mil/Home/AFSPC- Industry Engagements to ensure your time and effort is focused most efficiently at achieving these goals. I greatly appreciate what you bring to the fight and am excited to explore what we can accomplish together in the future. Thank you for your continued commitment to ensuring our national interests and the security of our great Nation. //signed// JOHN W. RAYMOND General, USAF Commander
