Description

This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(g), the Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to award one time paging services for the Cath Lab for one year after date of award, as other than full and open competition with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL, 909 18th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35294. The Contractor shall provide monthly paging services for 22 radio pagers required by Cath Lab staff to assure a 90 minute door to balloon in STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction) patients nationally. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 611310. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer by 3:00PM EST on 28 February 2017. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Jessica Coleman-Smith, Contracting Specialist, NCO 7, Birmingham VA Medical Center via e-mail at Jessica.Coleman-Smith@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the contracting officer will proceed with the sole source procurement with UAB.
