Description
Description: Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the Department of Energy, solicits expressions of interest from companies concerning a future Request for Proposal (RFP) for off-site, Safety Class, Quality Level 1 Motor Repairs. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to assist in the development of a solicitation list for the RFP SRNSMOTORSL1. The RFP will consist of a sample of ten (10) motors, scheduled to be issued in April 2017. The NAICS Code for the RFP will be 811310. We would like to classify it as a set-aside for small businesses. A Service Subcontract will be awarded to a supplier which is determined to be the lowest priced, technically acceptable service provider, which can provide all labor and material specifications for the overhaul and repair of nuclear safety related electrical items such as AC/DC motors, AC/DC generators and MG sets. The overhaul and repair work may consist of rewinding, balancing, testing and machining work. The basic work will include tests and inspection of all parts for defects, wear and condition to determine if repairs are justifiable. All work shall be done in accordance with ASME NQA-1 Quality Program Requirements Interested suppliers should submit information addressing the following topics: 1) Brief company history and employee certifications/qualifications 2) Evidence of compliance to NQA-1 Quality Program requirements 3) Identification of existing government or commercial customers currently receiving similar repair services A supplier's response to this RFI does not guarantee they will be selected to participate in the RFP. Suppliers responding to this RFI should submit requested information by close of business March 14, 2017 to: barbara.tuthill@srs.gov
