- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, intends to enter into sole source negotiations for overall Organizational Level Peculiar Support Equipment logistics products which will enable support and maintenance of the CH-53K aircraft. The anticipated award will be made to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, located in Stratford, Connecticut (CAGE 78286). Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the CH-53K Heavy Lift Helicopter and has the technical knowledge and expertise necessary to develop the logistics products needed for this effort. Accordingly, Sikorsky holds the proprietary rights to the diagrams, schematics, and drawings for the support equipment being acquired. The Government does not possess the required technical data. This acquisition is being pursued under the sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1; therefore a solicitation is not available for this procurement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
