Description
Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Government plans to award a three (3) year, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Requirements Contract to AECOM for the Linear Demolition Charge Systems (LDCSs). There are two LDCSs located on each ABV mounted on the back of the turret. The LDCS controls the launch and detonation for the rocket and linear demolition charge. It contains a wiring harness and a control box that is integrated inside of the turret. The ABV commander uses this box to control the launch and detonation of the line charge. The LDCS is comprised of the following subsystems: (1) LDCS Control Box (2) LDCS Local/Remote Box (3) LDCS Selector Switch Box (4) Left and right side weldment (5) Right and left side Lift Junction Box (6) Right and left side Rocket Rail Lift Motors All of the above subsystems include associated mounting hardware, cables, and fittings necessary to fully install and operate the subsystem. The LDCS is an integral part of the ABV. The ABV is based on the M1A1 tank chassis and provides deliberate in-stride breaching capability to the assault force of the Army Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) and Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF). The ABV consists of an M1A1 hull with a specially designed and fabricated turret which has two Mine Clearing Line Charges (MICLIC) mounted on an LDCS. The ABV also has: (1) a High Lift Adapter (HLA) mounted on the front of the hull which allows the Full Width Mine Plow (FWMP) and Combat Dozer Blade (CDB) to be rapidly interchanged by a crew of two Soldiers; (2) a Lane Marking System (LMS); and, (3) an Integrated Vision System (IVS) allowing the crew to view 360 degrees day or night in various weather and combat environments. To maximize subcontracting opportunities, AECOM will be directed contractually to compete work at principal subcontractor and lower tier vendor levels in support of Government competition objectives. Disclaimer: This is a sources sought notice and is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the information contained in this posting or information received as a result of this posting. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which the agency will consider.
