Description
Salient Characteristics of: Dual Chamber Temporary Cardiac Pacemakers Must be completely compatible and interchangeable with our current Medtronic 5392 dual chamber external pacemakers. Must be capable of independent settings and pacing of two Heart chambers. Must use commonly available batteries (both size and type) Should be capable of continuing pacing functions during battery changes. Must be capable of Screen Lock to prevent accidental setting changes. Must have a Pause Mode to evaluate the Patients condition. Should be capable of Interventional Pacing to break an Arrhythmia. The supplying company needs to meet the following Educational parameters: 1. Education- Initial a. Face to face group education classes will be offered by the vendor prior to roll out b. Class content will be geared for each use area (OR, ICU, cath lab), and each user role (MD, RN, tech) c. Classes will include didactic information as well as hands on return demonstration to meet competency requirements of PVAMC d. These are to be offered at PVAMC selected times (with vendor input) to include day and night time classes i. Example schedule (90 minute classes at the following times) Monday 0800, 1000, 1200, 1400 Tuesday 1600, 1800, 2000, 2200 Wednesday 0800, 1000, 1200, 1400 Thursday 1600, 1800, 2000, 2200 Friday 0800, 1000, 1200, 1400 2. Education- Ongoing a. Vendor will provide ongoing education at least annually b. This might include online resources, modules, reference materials c. Clinical consultant will be available via phone and/or email d. (preferred) use/loan by vendor to PVAMC of a simulation device on an annual to conduct competency training 3. Option for PVAMC to purchase a simulator
