Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) intends to award a purchase order to Sable Systems International, 3840 N. Commerce Street, North Las Vegas, NV 89032 for behavior cages. The purpose of this purchase order is to purchase behavior cages. The order will expand on the existing Promethion system which is superior to any other food intake monitoring system and by increasing the current set-up will benefit experimental output and lab productivity. The sole source determination is based on Sable Systems' existing Promethion System and the increasing set-up, making the system completely modular system which would allow for expansion in the future. In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NIAAA-17-062 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Ms. April N. Martin at National Institute Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), 6710B Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817 or via email april.martin@nih.gov. All requests must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. Email addresses are encouraged but not mandatory.
