- SYNOPSIS The Uni ted States Army Cargo Helicopters Project Management Office (PMO) is hereby requesting information under this RFI to determine whether or not there are interested and available vendor sources capable of meeting the identified requirements. This document is for information and planning purposes only and to allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement. Organizations having the capability to design or manufacture Intercommunication System are inv i ted to subm i t appropriate documentation, l i terature, brochures, and references. SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESPOND. Include whether or not you are a small business; HUB­Zone small business; service-disabled veteran owned, veteran-owned small businesses; women-owned small business; or small disadvantaged business in order to assist the government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. GENERAL PURPOSE Purpose The Uni ted States Army Cargo Helicopters PMO is interested in Intercommunication Systems for the CH-47F helicopter. This RFI seeks information about intercommunication systems for use in mili tary rotorcraft applications. Acquisition Approach This announcement does not constitute a Request for Proposal. Please do not request for a copy of the sol i citation, as no sol i citation exists at th i s t i me. If a firm requ i rement i s developed and a solicitation is issued, the solicitation will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (http://www.fbo.gov). It is the responsibility of offerors and interested parties to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any and will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the documents. The Government has not made a comm i tment to procure any of the i tems d i scussed, and re l ease of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. RFI Requirements Responses to this RFI should address the following : 1. Organization/Company Info: a. Name and address of company b. Size of company (number of personnel, total revenue, ownership, length of time in business, etc.) c. Cage Code and DUNS Number (if available) d. Points of contact name (s) with phone number (s) and email address (es) e. Website (if applicable), and name of parent organization (if applicable) 2. Technical: a. System Description and Overview b. System Architecture/Interface requirements c. Maximum number of crew stations supported, by function (intercom, communication, audio) for a typical rotorcraft application, with considerations for SWAP (space weight and power). d. Maximum number of channels/inputs supported for a typical rotorcraft application, with considerations for SWAP (space weight and power). e. Support for programmabl e voice warning, Adaptive Noi se Cancellation, 3-D audi o, voice recognition/command, voice over internet protocol. f. Software and Hardware Design Assurance Level (planned or achieved) g. Current availability of the component/system h. If the component is currently not available, what is the Maturity of the technology (i.e., has the system have been flight qualified, when and by whom or under what project), description of Technology Readiness Level (TRL), and near-term pl ans I approach for qualification of any components that have not received air worthiness certification. i. Environmental Qua l i fication test i ng (planned or achieved) j. Civil or mili tary rotary aircraft installations k. Results of the modified rhyme test(s) (speech intelligibility) l. Space, Weight, and Power requirements m. Reliabili ty Metrics n. Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) cost remaining to fully certify I qualify (if applicable). o. Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate - broken down by cost points for 1, 10, 100 units. p. Provide any other pertinent information that will assist us in this assessment.
