- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source commercial service purchase order to RICOH USA, Inc. for a follow on contract for the lease and maintenance of 82 Multi-Function Devices (MFDs), which perform the following functions: printing, scanning, copying and faxing. The MFDs are used throughout LRN to carry out day-to-day administrative functions in support of USACE LRN's mission. Currently, LRN is in possession of 78 of the 82 MFDs (the Existing MFDs), which include the following devices: 45 Ricoh MPC3002G Color Digital Imaging System MFDs, 30 Ricoh MP3053 B/W Digital Imaging System MFDs and 3 Ricoh MPC3002G Color Digital Imaging System MFDs. The remaining four (4) MFDs (the Replacement MFDs) are needed to replace MFDs removed from LRN in March of 2015 at the end of their respective leases. LRN's requirement includes: a 30-month extension of the current lease for the Existing MFDs; a 30-month lease for the Replacement MFDs; initial service for the Replacement MFDs (i.e., delivery, installation and training); and maintenance service for both the Existing and Replacement MFDs (i.e., parts, labor and toner). The Federal Acquisition Regulations allow for the submission of capability statements from prospective offerors to show interest which shall be considered by the Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This is not a request for capability statements or quotes. However, the Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will consider any capability statements or quotes submitted by all responsible sources. Depending on the evaluation result of the capability statements, the Contracting Officer will determine if this sole source action is justified or if a solicitation must be issued to interested firms. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. If potential offerors choose to submit information, past performance and references regarding capability to perform these services must be provided along with the statement of capability. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. Information provided is strictly voluntary. Please email capability statements or quotes to Jessica.L.Baker@usace.army.mil. Telephonic inquiries will not be honored.
