- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY: No solicitation package is currently available. The Beckley Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking sources from contractors within 15 miles from their geographical location who are able to provide a Temporary Residential Shelter/Housing to Veterans who are homeless. The Contractor shall provide Temporary Residential Shelter to include but not limited to: beds, restroom, bath, kitchen facilities, and related furnishings; adequate security measures, e.g., locks on windows and doors, as well as security measures in accordance with VA standards and in conformance with state and local safety and health codes as outlined in 38 CFR, Section 17.53b http://vaww.ceosh.med.va.gov, shall be in place in order to provide optimum safety for residents.; prepare food for a minimum of (3) three balanced meals daily and snacks daily to each shelter resident; personal hygiene items, first aid supplies, and storage as needed. The Beckley VAMC anticipates issuing a solicitation in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 for this requirement on or about April 1, 2017, with a closing date for proposals on or about May 1, 2017. The solicitation will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide full information to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. Large and small businesses as well as non-profit organizations are welcome to respond in the event no Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses have the capacity to provide this service. The NAIC Code for this solicitation is 624221. The government anticipates making a single award of fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for this requirement. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to visit the SAM website and register as soon as possible to avoid delays should they be selected for a contract award.
