- The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Orlando, FL, is seeking potential sources with the ability to provide instruction for the following course: A-702-0025- Machinery Repairman Class C School Computer Numerically Controlled Machinery (35 days in length). The training provided by the vendor will encompass the course scope and learning objectives of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) lathes, milling machines and associated equipment utilizing Mastercam Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Computer Aided Machining (CAM) Software. The vendor shall have CNC certification/ license to teach CNC/CAD/CAM in the San Diego, CA. or Norfolk, VA. Fleet Concentration Areas (FCA). Class convenings are anticipated to be 2 to 3 times per year depending on the schedule established by the Government with an estimated throughput of 11 students per year across all convenings. This is an estimate and the actual number of convenings and students per class are subject to change. The Contractor will furnish the required hardware and software. The Contractor will be required to furnish all course curriculum, student and instructor guides, handouts, etc., to support the implementation of the training for each student. The Contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding, copying, and providing all copies of the course to students. The course will be taught in the San Diego, CA. or Norfolk, VA. FCAs. The Contractor shall supply the facilities for instruction to conduct the training. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 611519 with a size standard of $15M. This requirement is for instructional support services resulting in a proficiently trained student meeting the performance and course completion standard. The vendor shall provide the personnel, supervision, management, materials, and instructional technology needed to conduct training of personnel. The Contractor s instructors shall have documented civilian instructor experience in accordance with industry standards for Mastercam CAD/CAM or related type courses. Vendors capable of accomplishing the required services are invited to submit literature, brochures, and capability summaries identify, at minimum, business size and past (limit to within 3 years) and/or current performance on similar contracts (include dollar value, complexity and point of contact information). Identify established course/ instruction pricing available to the commercial marketplace. Potential sources must identify their business type (i.e., small business, large business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned business, etc.). North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 611519, size standard $15 million. This acquisition is anticipated to be conducted in accordance with FAR 6.2, Full and Open Competition after Exclusion of Sources. Firms that believe they can demonstrate the capabilities required based on the requirements described in this Sources Sought posting shall provide a written response to this announcement consisting of the following: 1) A submission of your firm s detailed capabilities to meet the requirements listed above, 2) Past and/or current performance on similar contracts (include contract number, dollar value, brief description of scope, and point of contact name, job title, phone number, and email address). Brevity of extraneous information is desired and, 3) A statement identifying your firm s business size and all socioeconomic categories applicable for the NAICS code 611519. The Government will evaluate the submission of this data in determining an appropriate acquisition strategy. This announcement is published for PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY.
