- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a firm fixed priced modification under contract N00024-12-C-2401 with Textron, Inc., 19401 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA 70129 for the procurement of Live Fire Test and Evaluation assets. This contract modification is in support of the Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) Program. The Government has a requirement to procure one (1) production representative SSC Propulsor Composite Tube; two (2) production representative SSC Aft Lift Fan Composite Tubes; one (1) production representative Factory Sample Shaft; one (1) production representative 100 Hour Propulsor Operational Test Shaft, one (1) production representative Pilot Seat and one (1) production representative Deck Crew Member Seat. These assets are to be delivered no later than seven (7) months after award of the modification. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Textron, Inc. directly. This announcement is published for informational purposes only. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
