- Pre-solicitation Notice: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for a systematic aquatic herbicide to control variable milfoil at the Hopkinton-Everett Lake Flood Control Project. Location consists of Hopkinton-Everett Lake located on the Contoocook River in Hopkinton, New Hampshire. The project office is located at 2097 Maple Street, Hopkinton, New Hampshire, 03229. All work will be completed before September 30, 2017 (or as specified via Permit Application). The project area will be open to the contractor Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM and all work must be done during those hours unless additional hours are approved by the Technical Point of Contact. No work shall be done on weekends or Government holidays. The schedule for herbicide application will be determined by and must be strictly adhered to the permit requirements set forth by the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Division of Pesticide Control Special Aquatic Permit. No work shall commence until the aforementioned permit is approved by the State. The project is planned to be issued in on or about March 16, 2017 and will be set aside for Total Small Businesses. The applicable NAICS code is 237310 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7,500,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District. Please note this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time, the solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about March 16, 2017. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the New England District.
