- Description
- Statement of Work On a sole source basis, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award a contract for the design, development, testing and demonstration of a processing platform capable of analyzing commercial imagery pixels and extracting information contained in those pixels on the internet domain that is capable of interfacing with the NGA contracted DigitalGlobe, Inc. Global-Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (G-EGD) imagery production and web hosting service (WHS). The interface will allow NGA G-EGD users to define geographic regions in G-EGD and select various information extraction preferences from the information extraction processing platform; as well as alert thresholds that set the parameters for what levels or type of information should trigger an alert to be sent to the user from the processing information extraction processing platform to their G-EGD account. This award will be limited to DigitalGlobe, Inc., the current Commercial Data Provider under the NGA EnhancedView Imagery Program. The NGA requires DigitalGlobe, Inc., the vendor for NGA Order HM0210-13-C-N002-0009, G-EGD WHS, to demonstrate a system interface that allows G-EGD users to leverage the capabilities of the DigitalGlobe's internet Geospatial Big Data (GBDX) Platform. DigitalGlobe, as the vendor for both GBDX and G-EGD, is best capable to connect their two services to demonstrate the viability of the required interface capability. Additionally, DigitalGlobe is currently the only vendor that can offer electro-optical imagery with the resolution necessary to compliment the imagery available via the G-EGD WHS. Finally, NGA already has access to the G-EGD production and WHS and DigitalGlobe's imagery library at no additional cost through the NGA EnhancedView contract. If successful, NGA anticipates that the GBDX (or similar) service will reduce the amount of time users will have to spend manually scanning images for new features, change or activity. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by NGA.
