- Packing and Crating service, Solicitation No. STH20017Q0004 This Solicitation is ready to be issued on March 1, 2017. The Embassy of the United States in Bangkok, Thailand is launching the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. This Solicitation is to provide Packing and Crating service. This consists of packing, unpacking, cargo storage, freight handling, custom clearance and other related services that apply to shipments originating from, consigned to, routed through, and/or move within the geographic area(s) of the United States Embassy, Bangkok; Consulate in Chiang Mai; and offices in Udon Thani and Chonburi. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
