Description
SOURCES SOUGHT COACHELLA CANAL BRIDGE REMOVAL (BRIDGE Y201B) This is a sources sought synopsis for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation exists at this time. All qualified vendors may submit capability statements for consideration. At this time, we are especially interested in 8(a)s, SDVOSBs and SDVOSBs with 8(a) Certification. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, management, and financial capability to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy. The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Lower Colorado Region, requires an experienced contractor to demolish/remove a 50-foot span concrete deck with steel substructure bridge over the Coachella Canal, in Indio, CA. Sources are sought for firms experienced in demolition of 50-foot or greater clear span bridges or similar structures over water with no or limited access from below with no debris falling into the water. Firms shall have worked in close proximity to residential areas and experienced in disposal of concrete deck material and steel substructure with possibility of lead based primer coating on the steel. The Government anticipates award of a single contract/purchase order. Responsible firms are welcome to submit a capability statement on or before March 17, 2017 by 4:00 P.M., Local Time. Submittals will be reviewed and considered by Reclamation during the solicitation planning process. Send your capability package via email to jschilke@usbr.gov. At this time, we are looking for qualified contractors, especially those who are certified in SBAs 8(a) Program (8(a)), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) and SDVOSBs who are also 8(a). Your package should include the following information: 1.Capability statement - Showing recent experience doing this type of work or work similar in scope and complexity (5 page maximum), *especially in regards to the demolition of a 50-foot or larger bridge, over water, with no debris falling into the water*. 2.Provide your business name, address, point of contact, phone number and email address. 3.Provide your business size & type: 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business or Large Business. All firms should identify whether or not they are a small businesses or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) 238910- Site Preparation Contractors.
