Description

VA69D-17-Q-0458 A00001 Two questions were asked in response to solicitation VA69D-17-Q-0458; below are the questions and government responses. Question 1: Under qualifications of personnel (section 5), the language has been updated to specify: Physician Assistants shall have a minimum of one year documented experience as a Certified Cardiac Physician Assistant and: I am unaware this is a certification; however, our providers are certified by NCCPA and have minimum 12 months of experience in cardiothoracic surgery.   Is this acceptable? Answer 1: Assuming that NCCPA is the certification authority for the PAs, then this will be acceptable. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 2: Would a certified, Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner (APNP) with a minimum 12 months of experience in cardiothoracic surgery also qualify as a provider under this contract? Answer 2: An APNP would potentially qualify if she/he has appropriate training in the surgical aspects of CT surgery (operative experience, surgical skills for the OR, endoscopic surgical skills for vein harvest, etc.). {End of Questions} [End of Amendment A00001]
