Description

The Amarillo VA Health Care System (AVAHCS), on behalf of the West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS) located in Big Spring, Texas, is seeking Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) sources capable of meeting the requirement listed below. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. NOTE: TO QUALIFY SDVOSB AND VOSB VENDORS MUST BE CERTIFIED IN THE VA VENDOR INFORMATION PAGES (VIP) DATABASE. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562998. Any SDVOSB or VOSB firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this product must provide product specifications, performance and delivery information by notifying the Contract Specialist no later than 4:00 PM Central Time, March 10, 2017. Notification shall be e-mailed to Robyn Nussbaum, at robyn.nussbaum@va.gov. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Notice. SCOPE: The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS) has a requirement for routine maintenance of three outdoor grease traps which are located at Nutrition & Food Service, Canteen, and the Domiciliary at 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, Texas. Traps will be maintained quarterly during the months of October, January, April and July. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove and properly dispose of non-hazardous oil, grease, and sludge from grease traps located at the WTVAHCS. The Contractor shall transport and dispose of all excavated waste in accordance with all standard commercial, state, and local practices and with all current and applicable Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) requirements. Services include removal of waste and grease build-up from trap walls and all associated equipment within the traps. The entire grease traps area shall be flushed down with water and any remaining residue pumped out. The Government will furnish water necessary to complete the maintenance.
