- Description
- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issues this Notice of Intent to acquire open market items under a General Services Administration (GSA) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Task Order. The CMS has awarded a BPA Task Order against the CMS, Agile Delivery to Execute Legislative Endeavors for Quality Related Initiatives (ADELE-QQRI) multiple award BPA in response to the BPA Request for Quotation (RFQ) #171018, entitled Quality Payment Program Beneficiary Reporting under BPA Contract No.HHSM-500-2016-00011B. The Task Order was awarded on February 17, 2017 to the small business SemanticBits LLC to provide agile IT delivery services in support of the Group Practice Reporting Option Web Interface Tool of CMS with a total potential period of performance of two (2) years and three (3) months. These open market items are considered incidental and ancillary to the overall acquisition and are time sensitive in order for the contractor to perform the Task Order requirements. In accordance with FAR 8.402(f), this posting serves as public notice of the Governments intent to authorize the contractor to acquire the open market items below on Task Order # HHSM-500-B0002, under CMS BPA # HHSM-500-2016-00011B, GSA FSS Contract # GS-35F-192BA. 1. 16 MacBook Pro Laptops The Contracting Officer has made the determination, based on the programmatic requirement beneath the awarded Task Order for laptop ability to perform cross-browser testing as part of the agile IT development services requiring testing the application on Apple Safari and iPhone iOS, that the open market items are necessary to successfully perform the requirements under the Task Order. Therefore, the inclusion of these open market in the Task Order best satisfies the needs of the Government. Any vendor who wishes to respond to this Notice of Intent shall provide their specific capabilities and associated pricing. This Notice of Intent is NOT a Request for Quotation for competitive quotes, and this notice in no way obligates the Government to modify the existing GSA BPA Task Order or to award a purchase order for the open market items.
