Description

The project is for the design-demolition-renovation services of Building 30 Replace HVAC System at Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). The project replaces six air handling units, eight roof mounted exhaust fans and all of the ductwork that serve the laboratories and offices in Building 30. The deteriorated controls will be replaced. Also included in this project is Testing and Balancing of the system upon completion. The contractor will be required to prepare construction documents for the replacement of the HVAC equipment outlined in the RFP. Perform energy and load calculations. Size HVAC systems to meet calculated load requirements. Optimize control system operation and for energy efficiency. Document the design intent of the air handling units (AHU ™s) as it applies to the overall heating, ventilating and air conditioning system of Building 30. Prepare a room by room air balance diagram indicating supply, return air, and exhaust air. Prepare a construction phasing plan and construction schedule for approval by the Government. Design and install a distributed Direct Digital Control (DDC), which is BACnet compliant and networked seamlessly with the existing Siemens Apogee DDC system, to provide automated control and monitoring of air handling units furnished under this renovation project. The Government invites contractors with the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements to submit the following: 1.Relevant Experience of the Contractor, no less than three (3) projects and no more than five (5) projects, to include experience, within the last seven (7) years, in performing projects (either individually or all within 1 project) with similar size and scope stated in the project description. The following elements of this project shall be included as relevant experience: Preparing construction documents in accordance with an Request for Proposal (RFP) document Building and utility demolition The project involves approximately 40,252 square feet. The project replaces six air handling units, eight roof mounted exhaust fans and all of the ductwork that serve the laboratories and offices in Building 30. The existing ATC control system will be replaced. Also included in this project is Testing and Balancing of the system upon completion. Submissions need to include the contract number, indication of whether respondent was the prime or subcontractor, contract value, Government/Agency point of contact and current telephone number, and a brief description of how the contract referenced relates to the technical services described herein. 2.Company profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, Cage Code and statement regarding small business designation and status. 3.Statement regarding Bonding Capabilities.
