- Revised Attachment B2, pg. 2 of 14, 3-6-17 Revised Attachment A, 3-6-17 Amendment 2, 1. The length of the 42" x 29" CMPA Culvert is erroneously listed in 2 locations of the Solicitation documents. The correct length is 32 Linear Feet. A revised Schedule of Items and Sheet 2 of the drawings are attached to and made part of this amendment. The item number for this change is (60202). (a) Remove attachment A, (schedule of items), use rev. schedule 3-6-17 (b) Remove pg. 2 of 14 in attachment B2, use rev. drawing 3-6-17 2. Riprap Rock sampling and testing requirements: Sampling and testing requirements for riprap rock as listed in Table 251-1 of the FP-03 Specifications are waived. For material from a non-commercial source, contractors will be required to provide a 2 Cubic Yard (minimum) representative sample for visual inspection by the Government COR prior to placement in the work. Riprap from a commercial source requires certification. Amendment 1, full solicitation added on February 14, 2017. The USDA Forest Service, Superior National Forest, located in Duluth Minnesota anticipates issuing a Request for Proposals to provide for the installation of a new timber bridge on low volume Forest Road 199; removal of an existing corrugated metal culvert; excavation of structure and stream channel restoration; traffic control monitoring; furnish and install new precast grade beam foundation on geocell abutment stabilization; backfill; furnish and place aggregate to final road grade; install permanent bridge signs; furnish and install timber superstructure - including girders, deck system, running planks, curb systems and all associated hardware; place sod in designated areas; seed and mulch remaining disturbed areas; and protect the Huntingshack River and associated wetlands from siltation and other destructive impacts of construction. The project is located on the LaCroix Ranger District (St. Louis County, MN) on the Superior National Forest. The contractor(s) shall provide all expertise, labor, supervision, services, equipment, tools, supplies, and permits (when and if required), transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform the roadway resurfacing and culvert replacement along with other associated minor activities. Price range is between $125,000 and $200,000 with options. This is a synopsis, the full solicitation documents including specifications will be issued on or about February 16, 2017. Deadline for proposals will be Marcy 17, 2017. Questions concerning the solicitation must be in writing and sent via email to Paul Nephew, Contracting Officer, pnephew@fs.fed.us. In order to receive award under this RFP the successful offeror shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), and have completed the online representations and certifications (www.orca.gov) data base. NAICS: 237310, the size standard is $36.5 Million. This project is being solicited as a 100% set aside for Small Business. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to Department of Labor wage rates.
