- The US Army Geospatial Center in Alexandria, Virginia intends to solicit and award a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for the Geospatial, Research, Integration, Development and Support (GRIDS) III requirement. Description of Supplies/Services: The GRIDS III contract is designed to provide services necessary to acquire special skills, systems engineering and technical services to perform research and development activities, maintenance, and operational support that relate to rapid development, limited fielding and geospatial technology services for the warfighter. It is the Government's intent to solicit on the basis of full and open competition under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 541712, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences for this acquisition. The GRIDS III MATOC period of performance will be for a base year and up to four (4) option periods, not to exceed five (5) years. The solicitation number associated with this notice is W5J9CQ-16-R-0008. It is anticipated that the final solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO) in March 2017. This announcement does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs. This notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of FAR 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. Pursuant to FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award. Interested parties are encouraged to obtain further information on SAM registration at the following website: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contact regarding the requirements set forth in this pre-solicitation notice shall only occur with the Contracting Office. Discussions or information obtained via other sources could make you ineligible for award if deemed a Conflict of Interest or a Violation of the Procurement Integrity Act. The Government is not requesting questions or comments in response to this notice. This notice is intended for synopsis purposes and to give potential offerors an idea of when the final soliciation is anticipated to be posted.
