- This Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information is being posted to satisfy the requirement under the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to award a contract to The Boeing Corporation for the procurement of the attached various Boeing Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) required to support the airframe of the P-8A aircraft. Under the authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Boeing as these firms are the only responsible sources capable to provide the required support equipment. Boeing is the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the P-8A PSE and the only sources capable of supplying the PSE. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued as a limited competition under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source or only a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
