- Synopsis is for AFSC/PZAAB in support of the 409 SCMS/GUMAB for the issuance of Firm, Fixed Price Request for Quotation (FA8535-17-Q-0002) for the acquisition of nine (9) hydraulic actuating cylinder assembly spares (NSN 1650004839687). For this acquisition, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate utilizing Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to this procurement described above are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Supplies or services required to satisfy agency requirements are available from only one responsible source TRANSAERO, INC (CAGE Code 27541). The following information applies: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiated with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposals in the source selection process.
