- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Far Subpart 12.6 - streamlined procedures for evaluation and solicitation for commercial items - as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-91. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339113 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. NIH Clinical Center Office of Purchasing and Contracts is seeking to purchase Brand Name or Equal Equipment as described in the Statement of Work. All interested companies shall provide a proposal for Brand Name OR Equal Steerable Microcatheters as described in the Statement of Work. Statement of Objectives: steerable microvascular catheters Background: The Center for Interventional Oncology (CIO) operates in the Clinical Center (CC), under the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences National Institutes of Health Bethesda, Md. The CIO collaborates with its sister institutes at the NIH by supporting the clinical care of their patients who are admitted to the Clinical Center. The CIO develops and performs cutting edge clinical research in the diagnosis and treatment of malignancies. Preclinical studies and eventually under IRB approved research studies to multiple forms of cancer. The CIO is aiming to procure steerable guiding sheath microcatheter with a steerable/articulating distal tip allowing the operator to manipulate the tip up to 180 degrees in opposing directions. The microcatheter is intended for general intravascular use, including peripheral and coronary vasculature for the controlled and selective infusion of diagnostic, embolic, or therapeutic materials into vessels. I. Period of Performance: From date of PO receipt through at least a 1 year warranty period. II. Purpose: The CIO requires the procurement of steerable catheter sheaths to be used in the preclinical and clinical research of cancer treatment. Required items: a)steerable catheters (10) b)microcatheters (10) III. Mandatory specifications for microcatheters must include the following: a) The microcatheter lumen must accommodate steerable guide wires Tip position indicator showing neutral or deflected curve b) The microcatheter must have hydrophilic coating is applied to the distal 80 cm microcatheter surface Soft, atraumatic tip reduces potential for trauma and provides smooth transition to catheter c) The microcatheter must have two radiopaque marker bands, the first located approximately 0.5 mm proximal to the distal tip and the second approximately 14 mm from the distal tip d) The microcatheter must have curve retention for accurate catheter placement e) The microcatheter must be Hydrophobic coated sheath improves access IV. Vendor manufacturers and supplies items designed for use in the healthcare industry. 10 points IV. Past performance of manufacturer as evidenced by previous clients. 30 points V. Best value to the NIH including purchase price, freight or shipping costs, terms and conditions, supply item and any applicable discounts. 30 points Each offeror will be evaluated on its past performance under existing and prior contracts for similar products and services. Performance information will be used for both responsibility determinations and as an evaluation factor against which offeror's relative rankings will be compared to assure the best value to the Government. QUESTIONS DEADLINE: All question requests for NIH are to be submitted via email to gakinbinu@cc.nih.gov by March 9, 2017 10:00 a.m. EST. QUOTATIONS DUE: All quotations are due, no later than, 10:00 a.m., EST March 14, 2017 submitted via email to gakinbinu@cc.nih.gov. The solicitation does not commit the Government to pay any cost for the preparation and submission of a quote or proposal.
