- DISA Parking and Logistics Information The date for the Pre-Proposal Conference for the SETI solicitation is 10 March 2017. Registration is now closed. WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANY FURTHER REGISTRATIONS. We have over 800 attendees registered and cannot accommodate any further late registrations. Please note that some attendees will be in overflow rooms that will have a live broadcast from the main conference room. The conference will be held at DISA Headquarters, 6910 Cooper Avenue, Fort Meade, MD 20755. Sign-in will begin promptly at 11 a.m. and the conference will begin at 1 p.m. Plan to arrive no later than 12:00 p.m. to account for ingress traffic, parking, sign-in at DISA HQs Command Building Lobby, and escort from the DISA lobby to the conference rooms. From 11 a.m. to the start of the conference, there will be a networking opportunity in the cafeteria. Please bring lots of business cards if you'd like to participate. The conference is scheduled to conclude at 3:30 p.m. Visitor Building Access ALL ATTENDEES MUST ENTER THROUGH THE COMMAND BUILDING REGARDLESS OF ACCESS. All attendees must sign into the conference in the main entrance lobby (Command Building). All attendees will be issued a name badge that MUST be worn at all times. All attendees will require to be escorted by designated SETI personnel. Visitors will only have access to the DISA cafeteria, cafeteria outdoor lawn, designated conference rooms and restrooms. Failure to display conference attendee badge or comply with building access restrictions will result in all company representatives being removed from the facility. Please note this is an unclassified conference and discussion of classified information during the conference is prohibited. Coffee and food will be available for purchase in the DISA cafeteria. Companies who have sent in their completed registration and/or been contacted by DISA to provide additional information can assume that their registration is complete and that Base and DISA access will be granted. If Security has any issues granting access to any individual, the company will be contacted. If you did not provide full information and were not contacted by DISA, please send an email to disa.meade.PLD.mbx.seti-requirement@mail.mil to let us know. The presentation slides for the conference will be made available on FBO by 9 March 2017. Carpooling with someone who has base access is encouraged, in addition to arriving early. Attendees without a valid DoD or Military identification must enter through the gate at the corner of Reece Road and MD Route 175 in Odenton. The security guards will have the names of non-DoD personnel only at the Reece gate. Fort Meade Security requests that those attendees with a valid DoD or Military Identification Card, enter through an alternative gate to reduce congestion at the Reece gate. DoD or Military ID holders should enter through one of the following gates: Rockenbach Road and Route 175 Mapes Road and Route 175 Mapes Road and Route 32 Non-DoD ID registrants MUST enter through: Reece Road and Route 175 **Allow an additional 45 minutes to your travel time for Reese Gate Access. There are "delays" at the gate...it varies daily. Please use your best judgment on time. ** Additional Fort Meade Installation Access information can be found here: http://www.ftmeade.army.mil/directorates/des/vcc/vcc.html Additional Information: Based on the number of people, please limit the size of your purse and/or bag - It is strongly encouraged and recommended that you bring no bag or a very small bag. X-ray examination will occur for all bags, notebooks, & portfolios. The line moves faster with no bags or small bags. Bring a small notebook for notes and any questions you have. **Bring plenty of Business Cards for Networking ** Do not forget. NO CDs or DVDs allowed. Do Not bring any marketing material. ***WIRELESS DEVICES ARE NOT ALLOWED WITHIN THE DISA COMPLEX! LEAVE ALL FITBITS, CELL PHONES, LAPTOPS, TABLETS, IPADS, IPODS, CDS, FLASH MEDIA (INCLUDING THUMB DRIVES) and ANY TYPE OF RECORDING DEVICES IN YOUR CAR. BE SURE TO REMOVE ANY OF THE ABOVE ITEMS FROM YOUR KEY RING.*** Driving and Parking Instructions - See PowerPoint Attachment. Parking Do and Don'ts: DO PARK IN SOUTH PARKING LOT, DO PARK IN SOUTH PARKING LOT, DO PARK IN SOUTH PARKING LOT, DO PARK IN SOUTH PARKING LOT, DO PARK IN SOUTH PARKING LOT. Do not park in the covered garage. This garage is for DISA personnel only. It is okay to park on the top level of the garage, if space is available. Overflow parking is available just past the hotel on Cooper Ave. Please do not park in military housing complex.
