- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SERVES AS A SURVEY OF THE MARKET TO DETERMINE POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS THAT CAN SATISFY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. No solicitation is being issued at this time and specifications are not available. When available, solicitation(s) in their entirety and any subsequent amendments will be available at no charge online at http://www.fbo.gov. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering options for obtaining "Jones Port Housing Development, Northeast Maine". Included is consideration if this acquisition should be set aside for Small Business Concerns, including HUBZone concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and 8(a) small business concerns. GENERAL SCOPE DESCRIPTION This is a Design/Build project to construct a 14-unit family housing development on approximately 30 acres of un-cleared, Coast Guard owned land in Northeast Maine. The proposed development includes, but is not limited to, the design and construction of ten (10) 3-bedroom (2,000 GSF) housing units and four (4) 4-bedroom (2,300 GSF) housing units and a 4,000 GSF maintenance/storage building. Two (2) additional 3-bedroom housing units (for a total of 16 units) will be included as a bid option. The housing may be duplexes or detached single-family homes. Pre-manufactured panel homes assembled on a permanent fixed foundation or traditional "stick-built" home construction is acceptable. A high energy performance building envelope is a priority and the houses will meet the requirements of the US EPA Energy Star® Home Program. Two of the 4-bedroom housing units must be Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) compliant. Required site development includes associated access roads, driveways, sidewalks, individual wells, individual septic systems, storm water drainage system, electrical distribution system, telecommunications system and other supporting utilities. Perimeter fencing and landscaping shall be provided to create an unobtrusive boundary to the housing community. Site amenities such as a tot lot, basketball courts, picnic areas, walking paths and bus stop shelters may be included as bid options. All work must be completed in accordance with all local, state and federal environmental regulations. Applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) 2017 code is 236116. PROVIDE TYPE OF CONTRACT, NAICS CODE AND CONTRACT COMPLETION DATE. 7c. SPECIFY IF THIS WORK WAS DESIGN BUILD OR DESIGN BID BUILD.
