- Synopsis: 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purpose only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 which has corresponding Size standard of $20.5M. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small business to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. 2. Program Details: The US Air Force (USAF) is seeking potential contractors for a repair and parts service contract in support of the USAF's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) MINI Demolition Remote Firing Device (MINI DRFD). The USAF is seeking potential contractors to become an approved source for repair and parts service and gain knowledge of the interests, capabilities, and qualifications of vendors who can successfully support this requirement. The Government is in need of information on potential sources that can perform inspections, evaluations, cleaning, maintenance, test, repairs, 24/7/365 help desk troubleshooting customer service, parts replacement and application software configuration in support of the Government fielded MINI DRFD. The MINI DRFD shall be returned to the Government's inventory in serviceable condition which meets or exceeds manufacturer specification. The Government does not own or have access to the technical data package for the repair and/or overhaul of the MINI DRFD. Interested/qualified sources must include help desk technical support in the unit repair cost. The anticipated annual or multi-year option requirement for repair and replacement is for approximately 22 systems annually. Please note these numbers are estimates and in no way obligate the US Government. The Government has not formalized an acquisition strategy. There is no solicitation and there is no other information available at this time. Only responses to this sources sought will be accepted. Questions regarding the scope of work or acquisition strategy will not be accepted. Interested offerors should respond to this synopsis within 15 days following the publication of this notice. Responses must clearly demonstrate the qualifications, capability and expertise of the vendor. Responses to this notice will be used as part of the market research that will be used to develop the acquisition strategy to satisfy this potential requirement. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. Also, in order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made.
