Description

SPACE AND NAVAL WARFARE SYSTEMS COMMAND (SPAWAR), in support of the Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (PEO- C4I), Command and Control (C2) Program Office (PMW 150), intends to extend Contract N00039-15-D-0022 which allows for the purchase of Multi-Functional Information Distribution Systems (MIDS) On Ship (MOS) Lot 4 systems for shipboard application. Link 16 antennas and MIDS LVT 4 terminals will not be procured under this contract. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the sole source extension of Contract N00039-15-D-0022 with Data Link Solutions, LLC (DLS). DLS has been the only developer and manufacturer of MOS Lot 4 Systems. DLS has the only MOS Lot 4 production line and a team of experts that are highly specialized in the MOS Lot 4 Systems. This planned contract action will increase the ordering period by an estimated twenty four (24) months, increase the contract ceiling and increase the quantities available for order by an estimated eleven (11) MOS Lot 4 systems. The contract extension will also allow SPAWAR to procure spares and engineering and logistics services and related other direct costs. This action will be justified by a J&A under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1) and FAR part 6.302-1(a)(2).
