- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The requisition number is OIG190632. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95. (iv) The corresponding NAICS code is 517110 and small business size standard is 1,500 employees. (v) A list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities - Please see attached PDF for details. (vi) Description of requirements - This is sole source requirement for Comcast cable services. The office of Inspector General (OIG) requires the renewal of three existing broadband internet connections to continue operating forensic software and equipment for criminal investigations. The Digital Investigations Branch (DIB) requires the above mentioned service in order to provide investigative, operational, and technical support to OI special agents in the area of digital forensics. Also, Comcast Business is the only brand able to provide 100Mb/s broadband internet service in the Patriots Plaza III (PP III) building. Subsequently, this requirement is for Comcast services only due to restrictive nature of the OIG operation at the PP III building. (vii) Delivery and all services are to be delivered FOB to Washington, DC. The period of performance shall be for a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods, as follows: Base Period: 07/01/2017 - 06/30/2018 Option Period 1: 07/01/2018 - 06/30/2019 Option Period 2: 07/01/2019 - 06/30/2020 Option Period 3: 07/01/2020 - 06/30/2021 Option Period 4: 07/01/2021 - 06/30/2022 (viii) The provision at provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. (x) Offerors to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
