- Contract Clauses and Provisions SOLICITATION FA8524-17-R-0009 is issued as a Request for Proposal. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotas are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being conducted as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation will be solicited under Other Than Full and Open Competition. SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: (a) NAICS: 334511 (b) No. of Employees: 1250 REQUIREMENT: CLIN 0001: Pinion Assembly, NSN 1615008981689, PN 204-04-102-17 (Basic contract and 4 option periods) Item No. 0001 - Firm fixed price Quantity U/I Unit Price Amount 53 Item No. 2001 - Firm fixed price Quantity U/I Unit Price Amount 19 Item No. 3001 - Firm fixed price Quantity U/I Unit Price Amount 19 Item No. 4001 - Firm fixed price Quantity U/I Unit Price Amount 19 DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this requirement is to purchase spares for the following parts in support of the UH-1N Helicopter Programs: Pinion Assembly, NSN 1615-00-898-1689, PN 204-040-102-17. The Agency’s need is to support and ensure that the operational mission of the UH-1N helicopter programs are successfully accomplished as a result of procuring the parts identified in this document. The Pinion Assembly is a Bell Helicopter designated primary part and is a component part of the Generator Quill Assembly which is an aviation Critical Safety Item (CSI). The Pinion Assembly contains several key characteristics if not conformed to could affect the operation of the part. Any commercial facility with Federal Aviation Administration, United States Air Force, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certification in manufacturing helicopter Generator Quill Assemblies would be capable of accomplishing this task; however, the Government does not possess a technical data package for the assembly. DELIVERY: Required delivery is 90 days after contract award; The Ship To address is: SW3222, FLZ RIC, DL Distribution Corpus Christi TX, 540 First Street SE, Bldg 1846, GPS Use 100 NAS Dr., Corpus Christi TX 78419-5255 USA (361) 961-2500. The point of inspection and acceptance is Origin. FOB is Origin. Price should be FOB Origin. In addition to price and delivery, quota should include your cage code, DUNS number, and taxpayer ID number. Justification for Sole Source Only: The Pinion assembly is a Bell Helicopter-designated primary part and is a component part of the Generator Quill Assembly which is an aviation critical item. Such key characteristics are forgings and raw materials which, according to the engineering drawing, require Bell source qualification.
