- Sources Sought Notice identification number: FA4803-17-G-0001 This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. The 20th Contracting Squadron on Shaw AFB, SC is conducting market research to identify sources (Small Businesses and Other-than-Small Businesses) that have the knowledge, skills and capability to perform the work concerning the potential project described below. The responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions for this project. Responses are to be sent via email to richard.buelow.2@us.af.mil no later than 2:00 p.m. EDT, 16 Mar, 2017. Description of requirement: The Contractor shall provide non-personal services, to include all personnel, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to refurbish and overhaul eighty (80) aluminum travel pods. The Contractor shall pick up travel pods in groups of twenty-five (25) or less and complete all work at an offsite location. Work consists of preparation, sheet metal repair, repair of latches and hinges, painting and customization as identified in this PWS. The contractor shall comply with applicable federal, regional, state, and local laws and commercial standards. Submission Details: All interested, capable, qualified (under NAICS code 336413) and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this market survey request. Interested contractors should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in projects of similar nature as described above. Narratives shall be no longer than 5 pages. Email responses are required.
