Description
This is a Sources Sought/Market Research synopsis. The Alexandria VA Medical Center Contracting office is performing market research to ascertain whether there are potential sources and their business size classification (HUB-Zone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantage Business, Women Owned Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, or Veteran Owned Business) relative to NAICS Code 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. The Medical Center is particularly interested in identifying Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)/Veteran Owned-Small Business (VOSB) and their capability. The Medical Center is seeking potential sources to provide an Automated Medication Dispensing Units for Inpatient Pharmacy at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS), Biloxi, MS. The GCVHCS currently uses the Omnicell Systems that interface with each other. The pill packaging unit must utilize WorkflowRX to interface with the existing Omnicell carousel. The unit shall verify and document receiving, stocking, order processing, return, and order verification transactions. It must resume filling automatically after replenishment of medication or packing supply without restarting the entire batch. It must fit into the existing layout of inpatient pharmacy. The packagers must be capable of transferring batches between cabinets if necessary. The cabinets of the unit cannot exceed 51 x37 x79. The unit must interface with The Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) and Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). It must utilize Windows 7, Windows 2012 R2 or downgraded, and Windows 2012 SQL. Omnicell is the only manufacturer of the product that will fully interface with our current systems. Therefore, interested sources must be a manufacturer or distributor of the Omnicell Robotic Dispensing System. Potential sources must be able to delivery, install, train and provide service maintenance. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. This is not a solicitation for proposals or quotes. A solicitation will issued at a later date and time. All information submitted in response to this source sought notice is considered voluntary. Interested and capable respondents are requested to provide: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, DUNS number, geographical location, business size, number of employees and capability. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Lonest Bonton, Contracting Officer at e-mail address: lonest.bonton@va.gov. A telephone response will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than March 16, 2017.
