All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. This is a Request for Information. Accordingly the Governments intent is to conduct market research and provide notice to industry of its intent to solicit for certain services. Any information submitted by and obtained from industry as a result of this notice may be used in the development of the final acquisition strategy (e.g., set-aside, sole source, full and open competition, etc.) and may affect: Feasibility of the requirement Appropriateness of the NAICS Code Approach to Implementation Performance Work Statements or specifications Any other industry concerns or questions The Department of Veterans Affairs, Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA 71101 has a requirement for a Linear Accelerator QA Scan Tank. The Specifications are below. Vendors who are capable of fulfilling this requirement and certified as SDVOSB or VOSB in the Vendor Information Pages at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ are requested to submit a capability statement. Include firm s name (including any dba designation), DUNS, and FSS Contract Number; as well as a personal contact name, phone number, email address. Set-Asides At this time the government is requesting information in order to provide a final determination related to set aside. Upon review of the market research and coordination of appropriate parties a determination will be made. SPECIFICATIONS FOR SCANNING TANK Radiation Oncology Department is looking to replace an obsolete 3D scanning tank used for Linear Accelerator (LINAC) Annual QA, commissioning and QA after major repairs. Salient Characteristics (1) 3D tank used for LINAC beam scanning for commissioning and Annual QAs. (2) Requirements 1. Cylindrical tank design 2. 65cm or grader scanning range 3. Preset scanning queues 4. Scan speeds up to 16mm/second 5. Eliminates set up subjectivity which affects data quality 6. Detector maintains consistent orientation for inplane, crossplane, and diagonal scans 7. Narrow side of scanning detector remains parallel to beam edge 8. Automated tank leveling, water surface, beam center detection. 9. Fast setup time 10. Large set of analytical tools for data analysis 11. Ability to store iterative data sets
