- C.1. SCOPE/GENERAL REQUIREMENTS C.1.1 The period of performance is for two months upon receipt of the defective electronic equipment. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: C.2.1 ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC. The contractor shall diagnose and repair complex, computerized equipment and sensors. The contractor shall diagnose and solve circuitry problems using advanced testing equipment. The contractor shall be knowledgeable of the use of electronic monitoring and testing equipment to detect faults. The contractor shall determine the extent of repair required, materials or parts needed to make repairs and estimate time of completion. C.3. EXPERIENCE: C.3.1 The contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the industrial equipment repair, inspection and testing. C.4. SPECIFIC DUTIES/TASKS: C.4.1 GENERAL CONDITIONS C.4.1.1 All work/repair will be to the best commercial practice, based on the equipment manufacturer's advice and be compatible with all local laws, codes, regulations etc. (The electrical supply may be different, 50 Hertz). The repair work shall be compatible to the original design specifications or shall include the changes and any upgrades. C.4.1.2 The contractor shall have a program/system to demonstrate that all repairs have restored the equipment to its original/satisfactory operating condition or better. C.4.1.3 All repairs and replacement parts shall be warranted for a period of 90 days on service and commercial warranty on parts except in the case of neglect, operator errors or overseas shipping causing damage to the electronic equipment and/or any other cause attributed to the Egyptian Govt. There is no warranty time limit on repairs with latent defects. C.4.2 ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC. C.4.2.1 The contractor analyzes and repairs electronic malfunctions. The contractor shall repair equipment by replacing parts from stock. C.4.2.2 Repair parts used in the repair of the equipment, whether new or refurbished shall be such as to guarantee new equipment accuracy and performance. In a repair situation, parts on the equipment shall be inspected for wear and defects against Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications to determine their usefulness. C.5 DELIVERABLES C.5.1 The contractor shall provide a certificate of compliance to OEM requirements for each piece of electronic equipment. IAW CDRL A001.
