- Description
- Draft SOW Overview with Instructions The purpose of this Sources Sought (SS) is to accomplish market research pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, and to identify small businesses capable of and interested in performing the functions described herein. The Government is requesting information regarding the availability and feasibility of obtaining Passport and Travel Card Stock to continue the production at projected volumes. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a commitment on the part of the Government to conduct a procurement of any kind for the below and attached-listed services in the future. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this SS, nor will it compensate respondents for any costs incurred in the development/furnishing of a response. The Government will not entertain telephone calls or questions for this SS. Please note that a decision not to submit a response to this SS will not preclude a vendor from participating in any future solicitation. The Department, in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has developed and implemented U.S. card-format travel cards, including the Passport Card -a credit-card-size travel document. The Passport Card has been an accepted alternative to the traditional book-style passport at U.S. land and some sea ports-of-entry (POEs) since June 1, 2009. The Passport Card is functional in the DHS ReadyLane system, an integrated, automated border-crossing identification system including programs such as NEXUS, Secure Electronic Network for Travelers' Rapid Inspection (SENTRI), and Free and Secure Trade Program (FAST). The Government is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all activities identified in Attachment A: Draft Passport Card Stock Statement of Work. Attached Documents: 1.
