Description
Title of Work : DD17 LEVEE SLIDE REPAIR, DRAINAGE DISTRICT 17 MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, ARKANSAS Project Description : The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor and materials and any incidental related work according to the plans and specifications for repairing a levee slide and also repairing a storm water erosion location around an existing surface inlet. The levee slide shall be repaired according to the plans and specs which will utilize geogrid in order to repair the levee slide. The storm water erosion location shall be repaired according to the plans and specs. Also, as part of this project scope the contractor shall remove and replace the existing (3) 1.5" flexible double wall fuel supply lines and also the existing (1) 2" double wall fuel return line that are part of the pumping station's fuel system. The contractor shall also remove and replace the 2 existing 4# 12 AWG CU Type Conductors which are buried in 3/4" GRS conduit and are connected to the existing high level alarm panel located on the northeast side of the existing storage shed and run from the containment boxes located on the northwest side of the 2 existing pump station fuel tanks. The contractor shall replace these items that are part of the pump station fuel system according to the plans and specs. The contractor shall also dig up with hand tools the existing fuel level gauge reading communication lines which are contained in an orange conduit that is running from the 2 existing pump station fuel tanks to the north corner of the DD17 pumping station owned by USACE. The contractor shall dig up this conduit without damaging it and place it out of the construction zone so that it is not damaged during construction. The contractor will be responsible for the disconnection and reconnection of these lines. At the end of construction the contractor shall re-bury this orange conduit according to the plans and specs. The contractor will also be required to provide a temporary fuel line according to the plans and specs from the existing fuel tanks to the pump station for the duration of the removal and replacement work of the fuel system lines. Also, at no time during the project shall the pump station be made non-operational by the Contractor unless approved prior in writing by the Contracting Officer. Last, there is an existing overhead primary electric line and some existing underground communication lines that are currently located in the levee slide that will be relocated by others prior to the start of this project. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) : 237990 Small Business Size Standard: $36.5M Acquisition Strategy : Firm Fixed Price, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) competitive set-aside, Invitation for Bid (IFB). This solicitation is limited to SDVOSB. Work Location : The project work will take place at the USACE owned DD17 pumping station which is located in Mississippi County, Arkansas. The northings and eastings which shows the exact location of the project limits are provided in the plans. The Contracting Officer's Representative will be available to show the exact location of the work at the two organized site visits. Site Visits : Two site visits will be scheduled. April 18 and 25 2017 at 10 Am (CST). Location is 4098 North County Rd 407, Dell AR 72426. Prospective bidders must notify the Caruthersville Area Office of their plans to attend. Magnitude of Work : Between $100,000 and $250,000. Contract Duration: 120 calendar days Invitation for Bid (IFB): Will be issued on or about 10 Apr 2017 Bid Opening : On or about 10 May 2017 The resulting contract award will be a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract. The Solicitation Number will be W912EQ-17-B-0001. Offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM), including the NAICS code they are bidding under, in order to receive a Government contract award.
