Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Leavenworth Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (VA CMOP), located at 5000 S. 13 Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048 has a requirement for 8-hour, onsite training for DOT/IATA Dangerous Goods Certification for 15-18 people. Contractor shall conduct training on the latest HM-181H, HM-200, HM-206, HM-2158, HM-215, HM-224, HM-218, HM-216, HM-222A, and HM-2228 and will train selected staff on how to handle hazardous materials in accordance with the DOT regulations applicable to their job functions. Training will meet the training requirements established in 49 CFR 172.700-704 and will include the following topics: Introduction to the DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations Packaging Selection and Management Marking and Labeling Requirements Shipping Papers Loading, Unloading, Placarding Hazmat Security and Emergency Response IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Classification of Dangerous Goods How to Package Dangerous Goods Marking and Labeling Special Requirements for Air Shipments Deliverables include the following, and are to be provided to be provided no later than 14 April 2017 Training materials Certificates Training CD/DVD Travel costs are to be included in the costs of this contract. THIS PROCURMENT IS UNDER NAICS CODE 541620 WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF $15 Million. This solicitation will be a 100% set aside for Small Business. Priority consideration will be given to Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Small Business in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 8128 and VAAR 815.304. The solicitation will be made available on or about 12 March 2017, and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through the FBO website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure up-to-date information about the acquisition.
