VA250-17-N-0385 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice only, not a solicitation announcement and should not be considered as such. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hub zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, service disabled veteran owned small business or large business relative to NAICS Code 334290. The Department of Veterans Affairs is required by Public Law 109-461 to give first priority to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns if there should be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, is conducting market research to determine if there are firms capable of providing the following requirements. Carefully consider the following prior to submitting your interest in this requirement. Vocera Communications shall be delivered to the Cincinnati VAMC for the following: VOCERA B3000N, DUAL-BAND, BLACK BADGE Quantity - (590) Vocera B3000n Badge is a wearable hands-free voice-controlled device that provides easy-to-use and instantaneous communication on a wireless LAN network. 25 PACK B3000 UNIVERSIAL VOCERA BADGE CLIP Quantity - (40) Vocera s universal clip easily attaches the Vocera Badge to existing lanyards, jackets or clothing. It is designed to break-away from the badge under extreme situations to prevent the wearer from being injured while at the same time preventing the badge from getting damaged. B3000 SINGLE BAY BATTERY CHARGER Quantity - (20) Single bay charger with adapter charges (1) B3000 extended life lithium ion polymer battery. B3000 EIGHT BAY BATTERY CHARGER Quantity - (65) Eight bay charger with adapter charges (8) B3000 extended life lithium ion polymer batteries. B3000N, FIPS 140-2 DEVICE LICENSE VERSION 3.0 Quantity - (590) The Vocera Cryptographic Module, embedded in the B3000n Badge, ensures protected communications using industry-standard secure wireless communication protocols. Supports the federal agencies' goals of both modernization and standardization, with adoption of technological innovations and driving standards among vendor solutions. B3000 CUSTOMER CARE WARRANTY, 2 YEAR EXTENSION Quantity - (590) B3000 Customer Care Warranty Coverage. Under the B3000 Customer Care Warranty, Vocera shall either repair or replace each B3000 badge that has Accidental Damage where, as a result of such Accidental Damage, the B3000 badge no longer conforms substantially to the applicable Product Documentation. If Vocera determines replacement of the badge is necessary, the replacement badge shall consist of a functionally equivalent and new or refurbished B3000 badge. The repaired or replacement B3000 badge is warranted under the Customer Care Warranty for the remaining Warranty Term of the original B3000 badge. B3000 EXTENDED BATTERY BLACK Quantity - (1180) Lithium ion polymer with extended battery approx. 5 hours talk time (with UAPSD enabled), 60 hours of standby time. Please provide your Dun and Bradstreet number and socio-economic status if you are interested in this contract; additionally please provide your FSS or VA NAC contract numbers if applicable. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received electronically (via email) no later than 4:00 p.m. EST, Monday, March 20, 2017. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. All contractors interested in doing business with the Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses should also indicate whether the company is verified by the VA in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Database at www.vetbiz.gov. There is no guarantee, expressed or implicit, that the market research for this acquisition will result in a particular set-aside or sole source award, or any other guarantee of award strategy.
