Description
J85 ERRC Tooling J85 ERRC GFE ****SECOND INDUSTRY DAY EVENT- TELECOM SESSIONS********* J85 Engine Repair Center Industry Day - 23 March 2017 (Telecom Sessions): Tinker Air Force Base will conduct a J85 Engine Regional Repair Center (ERRC) Intermediate Level Maintenance Competitive Contract Industry Day on 23 Mar 2017 from 10:00 a.m.to 4:30:p.m. CST via telecom. The purpose of the event is to provide an update on the J85 Intermediate Level Maintenance acquisition strategy. The Government is seeking more information in regards to industry ability to successfully transition workload to a company's facility, and meet Full Operational Capability (full month of production requirements) To aid the discussion, a listing of potential GFE is provided as attachments. All highlighted items in the spreadsheets WILL NOT be offered as GFE/tooling. Specifically, the Government would like to obtain information and industry views regarding the following questions: •1. Does your company have the CFE in place to perform the full requirements? •2. If your company does not have CFE or enough CFE to perform the requirements, would your company have the ability to purchase CFE and what is the willingness level to do so? •3. What would be your companies estimated transition period? •4. What are the cost, schedule and performance risks and any other industry considerations during a transition period of the workload to your company's facility? The intent is to perform the J85 Engine Repair requirement at a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) like facility to improve reliability through a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach, and increase J85 availability in line with AETC's increased pilot production requirement. The J85 Intermediate Level Maintenance workload will not be done at a government owned facility. The government will provide an update through this announcment and via telecom sessions on the supply chain management approach, and the source approval requirements, as well as a potential tour of the Laughlin J85 Intermediate Level Maintenance facility. During the 23 Mar 2017 Industry Day interested vendors will have telecom one-on-one discussion by appointment only, lasting NO MORE than 60 minutes. If your company desires an individual one-on-one discussion, contact Ms. Carrie Williams at carrie.williams.7@us.af.mil, via registration form provided, no later than 17 March 2017.
