- Wifi Design Bldg. 670 This is NOT a synopsis or solicitation and no contracts will result from this notice. This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine potential sources and requirement specific information. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOps ( https://www.fbo.gov/ ) website for further information. The information requested by this Sources Sought will be used within the Air Force (AF) to facilitate decision-making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Information will be utilized to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. Interested parties choosing to respond to this Request for Information (RFI) are cautioned that this RFI is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract or agreement. The AF will not be obligated to pursue any particular acquisition alternative as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. Responses to the Sources Sought Notice will not be returned. Not responding to this Sources Sought Notice does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if one is issued. However, interested parties are highly encouraged to respond to this notice if capable. The 52 nd Contracting Squadron (52 CONS) is conducting market research to determine interest in a firm-fixed type contract for installation of infrastructure for wireless local area network (WLAN) and subsequent internet service to be performed at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, similar to the service description listed below: Non-personal services: Contractor to provide all labor, tools, parts, materials, equipment, facilities, supplies and transportation labor necessary in order to perform installation of infrastructure for wireless local area network (WLAN) and subsequent internet service for the 726th Air Mobility Squadron (726 AMS) at Spangdahlem Air Base. The contractor shall provide: - Switches to match high-speed trunk and current/expected future bandwidth - Patches - Cabling to connect access points (enough to reach nearest comm room) - 12 wireless access points Contractor shall connect switch(s) to fiber optic cable entering primary telecommunications room in cellar of building 670. Contractor shall connect primary communication room to sub-communication rooms through existing facility infrastructure. Contractor shall expand infrastructure by installing 12 new access points and running cable to said access points. Contractor shall connect/configure network to provide high-speed WLAN service throughout facility. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 517210. We are seeking information on capabilities and qualifications for the installation of infrastructure for wireless local area network (WLAN) and subsequent internet service. Information shall encompass the following (please limit submission to 10 pages or less): 1 1.
