- Equipment Inventory List ***This notice is NOT a solicitation.*** ***We are only probing the market for potential contractors.*** ***Please do not send us quotes.*** Sources Sought Notice We are seeking contractors who can provide inspection and repair on various government owned combat and non-combat heavy mobile vehicles and equipment as identified in Equipment Inventory List below. These are some capabilities a potential contractor should possess: •ü Facilities and frontage must have sufficient space for loading and unloading of heavy equipment and large tracked type vehicles which are listed in Equipment Inventory List. •ü Yard must be adequate to maneuver over-length and over-width tractor/trailer combinations. •ü Loading dock must be located on site. •ü Forklift with a minimum capacity of 10,000 lbs. •ü A truck mounted or mobile crane with a minimum capacity of 18 ton. •ü Ability to perform mobile field service work and provide road call assistance. (Field work may be required under adverse weather conditions and in all types of terrain.) •ü Tire repair capability for repairing or replacing large earth moving equipment type tires. •ü Ability to transport equipment to and from job site in the event Government cannot perform this task. •ü Capability of hauling earth moving equipment weighing in excess of 85,000 lbs., equipment height of 13 feet and width of 14 feet. •ü Ability to test horsepower output on large diesel engines. •ü Ability to repair all power train components on all types of vehicles and equipment both rubber tired and tracked, to include troubleshooting, pre-shop, diagnoses of electronic and computerized control modules, repair or replacement of all makes and sizes of engines, transmissions, transfer cases, torque converters, differentials, all under- carriage components, intricate fuel injection systems including injection pump overhaul and calibration on all combat and non-combat vehicles and equipment and many one-of- a-kind vehicles. •ü Ability to repair electrical, hydraulic, and air major systems and sub-systems. •ü Ability to repair or replace combination pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, and mechanical major systems and sub-systems to include all combat and non-combat vehicles and equipment. Ability to perform all types of welding, cutting, and fabrications, including mig, tig, and oxy/acetylene. May be required to fabricate or redesign mobile equipment to local terrain and conditions to meet special test requirements and all environmental requirements while not jeopardizing the reliability, performance, or maintainability of vehicle or equipment. This may be performed on combat and non-combat vehicles and equipment.
