Description

The project reduces the risk of tree hazards to developed recreational resources on the Cle Elum Ranger District (CERD). Many of the tree hazards carry a high-risk to public and employee safety. Each site varies in complexity and number of trees to be felled. The estimated average required trees to be fell per site is 5 to 30. In the two larger campgrounds, Kachess and Salmon la Sac, the estimated amount of trees to be felled is 70 to 100. Emergency or specialized hazard tree work may include climbing, topping, and removal of hazard trees leaning over buildings and removing storm blown trees. The contract will include one base year and 4 option years. Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for the Optional Items. No award will be made of the Optional Items under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to not exercise the Optional Items, either during or after Contract Award. In the event the Government does not exercise the Optional Items on this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs incurred. The solicitation will be posted around March 29th 2017. The desired start of work is April 10th 2017.
