- AMENDMENT 1 - 15 MARCH 2017 UPDATED SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS Application responses should be no smaller than 11 pt font and the full submission, application plus the additional two pages also at a minimum of 11 pt font, should not exceed 10 pages. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS The following inquiries have been made about this RFIP and the responses are given below. 1. Is the RFIP exclusive to radio direction finders? a. The RFIP is not exclusive to radio direction finders, all sensor types are welcome. 2. Are radar sensors allowed for submission? a. Yes radar sensors are allowed. 3. If radar sensors are allowed, will developers demonstrate technology solutions on a U.S. Government test range where emissions are allowed? a. Yes. Developers must submit with their application specifications on power and frequency emissions to coordinate with the facilities spectrum managers. 4. Do developers need to hold a separate license to emit from the FCC? a. FCC ID Entry numbers or EL CID of any device that emits must be submitted with the application submission. 5. What are the dates and locations of TACTIC? a. The tentative dates are June 18-24, 2017 for the first part and early November 2017 for the second part. The location has not been finalized, but it will be in the Washington, D.C. Region. 6. Are electro-optical/infra-red sensors allowed for submission? a. Yes. 7. Is Command and Control (C2) software as a part of a C-UAS system to unify sensor data allowed for submission? a. Yes.
