Pre-Solicitation Notice VA69D-17-B-0768 Project: Upgrade Elevators Buildings 6 and 70 Project Number: 695-17-105 Location: Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision in accordance with construction documents, drawings and specifications to complete Project 695-17-105, Upgrade Elevators Buildings 6 and 70, at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee WI. Work included, but not limited to: The modernization of two elevators on the Milwaukee VA Medical Center campus: one in-ground, 3,500 lb hydraulic passenger elevator in Building 6 C-wing and one in-ground, 4,000 lb hydraulic passenger elevator in Building 70 A-wing. The intent of the renovation project is to provide for the full modernization of both elevators to include the power controllers, power units, car fixtures, hall fixtures, door operators, landing door equipment, in-ground hydraulic cylinders, machine rooms, hoist ways, pit sprinklers, air-handling systems, and electrical power distribution service conductors and disconnect switches. There will be no change to the life safety or architectural layout of the elevator equipment rooms or each floor served by the elevators in Building 6 and 70. The project magnitude price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238290 (Other Building Equipment Contractors), Size Standard: $15 million The project is scheduled to have a period of performance of 210 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation (including any/all specifications and drawings) is scheduled to be posted to FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo.gov/) on or about March 31, 2017, with the bid opening on or about April 30, 2017. Bidders are responsible for monitoring and downloading any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through will be conducted for this project. The date and time of this conference/walk-through will be included in the solicitation. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. In order to be considered for award, the contractor shall be CVE-Verified as an SDVOSB vendor in https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov by the date and time specified for receipt of bids. No other sources will be considered. All interested parties shall have a current registration and current annual On-line Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA) in the System Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov prior to award.
