The Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver shall be fully operational and ready for field observation that provides support for positioning using a secondary provider correction service using dual rugged type antennas. The receiver receives satellite signals and performs precise 3-dimensional relative (differential mode) vector measurement and positioning based primarily on carrier phase and integrated Doppler measurements. The receiver shall be equipped with all necessary antennas, cables and accessories for a fully functional mobile DGPS capable system. The GPS receivers will be used in a marine environment, in conjunction with hydrographic survey equipment. Please see solicitation statement of work (SOW) for full requirements. The requirements include: The GPS receiver shall deliver precise heading with a single antenna, and sub-meter horizontal positioning accuracy. GPS receiver shall be capable of tracking L1 and L2 satellites, and also be WAAS, OmniStar VBS, and CA Code capable. It shall be capable of measuring carrier phase, Doppler, integrated Doppler and pseudo range (code phase). GPS receiver shall be capable of tracking up to eight (8) satellites simultaneously. GPS receiver and software shall have the capability to output standard NEMA GPS data strings to an internal RS-232 port, and also provide differential GPS data input via RTCM 104 rel. 2.0, for compatibility with the U.S. Government provided Hypack software. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM).
