- Attachment B - Post-Application Documentation Form Attachment A - Maps of service locations Solicitation W912ES-17-T-0048 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a contractor to control undesired vegetation (noxious weeds) in two wildlife management areas (WMAs) around Lake Ashtabula in North Dakota. The contractor will control the weeds through mechanical disturbance (mowing) of approximately 35 acres of Grasslands in two WMAs between August 1 and August 30, 2017. The contractor shall used herbicide control various areas of Canada Thistle, Yellow Toad Flax and Absinthe Wormwood infestation in the Baldhill Creek WMA (100 acres) and Old Highway 26 WMA (30 acres). Two applications shall occur; the first between May 31 and June 30, the second after September 1 and before September 30. Minimum acceptable result is an 80% or greater kill of targeted species in all treated areas. Note: Targeted species have shown resistance to some herbicides. There are two Options, exercisable at the Government's discretion. These options are for a Spring (Option 1) and a Fall (Option 2) application of herbicide to a total of 24 acres of turf grass, located at various sites around Lake Ashtabula. Herbicide will target common turf grass weeds, including dandelion, plantain, clover and creeping jenny. Minimum acceptable result is 90% or greater kill of targeted species with no damage to turf grass or trees. Options will likely be exercised at time of award. Spring Turf Grass Herbicide Application (Option 1): May 1 - June 15 Fall Turf Grass Herbicide Application (Option 2): September 1 - September 30 No CD's or hard copies will be available.
