- Description
- The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Countermeasures Directorate (DS/C) will convene a meeting (“Industry Day”) regarding the forthcoming award of the Global Security Engineering & Supply Chain (GSE&SC) contract. The GSE&SC contract will be a follow-on contract to the existing Supply Chain Management contract, now in the last year of its period-of-performance. The meeting will be convened for the benefit of potential industry partners. During the meeting, leadership from DS/C and the Office of Acquisitions Management (AQM) will present the Department’s vision for the acquisition, including how it fits into the overall Countermeasures mission. In addition, DS/C management will describe the security engineering/supply chain operations undertaken in support of the Department’s world-wide locations and current recipients of these services will provide insight from the users’ perspectives. Finally, the cognizant Contracting Officer will present the Department’s acquisition strategy. The meeting will be convened on April 3, 2017 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM Eastern Time at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn Key Bridge, 1900 N. Fort Myer Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22209. Check-in will begin at 9:00AM. The last hour of the meeting is set-aside for networking between potential competitor team members. Each attendee must be registered in advance with AQM. Registration opens on March 15, 2017 and closes on March 28, 2017. Space is limited. Each company may register no more than three (3) individuals. Should registrations exceed the capacity of the venue, the number of company representatives will be reduced. The Department reserves the right to limit company representation to one (1) individual. Therefore, when registering, individuals must be designated as the First, Second, and Third (i.e., A, B, and C) representative for their company. The information forwarded for each registrant is as follows: full name, company affiliation, company size as dictated by NAICS Code 541614 ($15M average annual receipts), and participant designation (i.e., First = A, Second = B, and Third = C). The identification and email address of the company’s point of contact shall also be provided. All information shall be forwarded to Mr. David Lynch at LynchDJ@state.gov. On March 29, 2017, AQM will notify the company point of contact as to how many individuals may represent the company at the meeting. Questions regarding the meeting content will only be addressed in accordance with the instruction provided by AQM at the meeting. Answers to any questions, along with a copy of the material presented at the meeting will be subsequently published via fbo.gov.
