Description
Rationale: Provide child care services in support of the Alabama National Guard Yellow Ribbon Program. Events occur on various dates and locations throughout the state. Normal hours from: 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on day of event, unless otherwise coordinated. The number of children and their ages will vary by event; therefore, the child care requirements will change by each event. Some events are for one day, and some events are two days. Elements: * Must hold a State Day-Care License. * Must be able to maintain and provide appropriate records on employees. * Must be able to write checks and file IRS 1099. * Must be able to pay the salary, lodging and meals of all employees. * Cover staffing expenses to oversee child care program. * Provide workers that are qualified to care for children from 0 to 5 years old. * All produced employees must complete and submit a National Guard Child and Youth Program Application. * Contractor will be held liable for provided employee's actions. * Responsible for the accountability of children, number entering and number leaving every station at the event. * Must be able to contact emergencyy medical personnel (911). * Workers required, at a minimum, to arrive one hour prior to event start time and remain one hour past event end time. * Must provide cots, mats, high chairs, and other needs associated with child care services (transportation and cost of these materials are the child care providers responsibility). * Set-up of all equipment prior to event (coordination with Contract Representative and venue guidelines). * Responsible for providing activities for children up to the age of 5 during event. * Will provide children with morning and afternoon snack. * Must have liability insurance coverage and Worker's Compensation Insurance for all employees. Note: In accordance with DODI 6060.2, dated 19 Jan 93, Childcare Provider/Staff to child ratio must adhere to the following: * 6 weeks thru 12 months: 4 children to 1 child care provider. Not to exceed 8 children to 2 child care providers. * 13 months thru 24 months : 5 children to 1 child care provider. Not to exceed 10 children to 2 child care providers. * 25 months thru 36 months : 7 children to 1 child care provider. Not to Exceed 14 children to 2 child care providers.
