Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice only; it is not a request for quotations or offers. The Mountain Home, TN VAMC located at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Corner of Lamont and Veterans Way in Mountain Home, TN 37684 is conducting market research to identify potential sources for a contract to provide primary 2.5 FTE qualified Cardiovascular Physicians to provide inpatient and outpatient services as well as On-Call Services. The same contractor would also provide Cardiothoracic Physicians and Vascular Physicians for on-call coverage only. All physicians must be board certified or board eligible for certification by the appropriate board. All physicians must be licensed in a State, territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia. All physicians shall be technically proficient in the sills necessary to fulfill the government s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently. Contractor will provide documents as needed to verify current and ongoing competency, skills, certification, and/or licensure related to the provision of care, treatment, and/or services performed. Contract physicians shall provide comprehensive professional services when the VA employed Cardiovascular, Cardiothoracic or Vascular Physician is on leave or unavailable. The contract physicians shall ensure 24 hours per, 7 days per week, 365 day coverage is available. Business hours are considered to be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm except for cardiologists working in the cardiac catheterization laboratory which has work hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. On-call hours are Monday through Friday, 4:31 pm to 7:59 am, Weekends 4:31 pm Friday to 7:59 am the following Monday morning, unless that Monday happens to fall on a Federal Holiday. There are 10 federal holidays plus any day that the President of the United States may declare as a holiday where on-call may also be required. On-call contractor physicians must be on call and available within 15 minutes by phone for telephone calls and be physically on-site within 45 minutes of notification if needed. Contractors shall cover the range of Cardiovascular, Cardiothoracic, and Vascular Physician on-call services that meet the standards as established by the Joint Commission hospital standards, the Department of Veterans Affairs and any other organization having review authority over operations of Cardiovascular, Cardiothoracic, and Vascular Physician On-Call Services of the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TN. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in this Request for Information and equal to that of the professional standard of the The Joint Commission. The contract cardiovascular physicians will provide outpatient procedure and clinic services through the scheduled clinics The contract cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, and vascular physicians vide consultations and follow-ups in a timeframe as required by the patient s medical condition. The provider will be responsible for follow-up and communicating test results ordered by provider. The contract cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, and vascular physicians will perform rounds and participate in resident teaching at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. The contract cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, and vascular physicians will perform duties including, but not limited to, staffing fellow s clinic, physician assistant clinic, attending clinic, E-Consults, cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures, electrophysiology services (managing device clinic, electrophysiology consults, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations), EKG interpretation, event/holter reports, echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and electrical cardioversion and procedures and services congruent with the respective provider s credentials and abilities. All interested parties should include the following information: 1. Company profile, including name of business and DUNS number. 2. Description of capabilities. 3. Demonstration of the firm's experience within the past five years. Provide the following: a brief description of the work performed to include project title and a customer contact name and phone number for a customer knowledgeable of the work completed. 4. The business size and business socioeconomic category; such as Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, Hub Zone Small Business, etc. Please note, all SDVOSBs and VOSBs must be verified by the office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving any award. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation policy, prospective vendors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration prior to award of contract. Interested parties should respond not later than April 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. Central Time. This Sources Sought Notice is to assist the Mountain Home, TN VAMC in identifying an appropriate acquisition strategy only. Written communication received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining current market capabilities for the services identified within this notice. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced and posted on this website at a later date, and interested parties must respond to the solicitation to be considered for award. This notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Source Sought Notice.
